Introduction

Swapping multiple bootable USB drives can be frustrating. While tools like PINN or NOOBS allow multiboot setups, they are not as straightforward to configure and were primarily intended for Raspberry Pi devices. However, Ventoy is an easy-to-use application that allows you to easily switch boot targets and boot different operating systems directly from a single USB drive.

To set up Ventoy on a USB stick, you only need to follow a few simple steps.

Ventoy installation and operation

Ventoy is compatible with Windows, Linux, and even PXE network booting. Its documentation provides clear instructions for installation. In short:

  1. Download Ventoy for your operating system from the official website: Ventoy downloads.
  2. Prepare the USB stick using the installation guide: Getting started with Ventoy.
  3. Once the USB stick is formatted, copy ISO images directly onto the USB drive root or folders:

  4. Booting your computer from the USB drive will display a menu allowing you to select which operating system to boot.
